Styles and types of therapy
We work with clients in an integrated, pluralistic manner. This means we will work collaboratively to decide what therapeutic approach and specific techniques may suit you and your needs. Generally, this will be either a course or blend of:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):
A well-established, clinically proven therapy that helps you address challenging thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT):
A practical approach that supports you to detach from negative thoughts and move you to towards a more meaningful, value-based life.
Solutions-Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT):
A semi-guided approach that draws out your strengths to help you work towards your goals.
Narrative Therapy (NT):
A personal-knowledge based approach that helps you see yourself as separate from your problems, supporting you in reclaiming the story of your self-identity in a more empowering, motivating way.
